Amélie Lacroix, known as Widowmaker, is a playable hero character in the team-based shooter video game Overwatch. Her first appearance was in the game's initial release in 2016.

Widowmaker is a cold and calculating assassin, renowned for her exceptional marksmanship and deadly efficiency. She wields a versatile sniper rifle, the Widow's Kiss, capable of both long-range sniping and rapid-fire assault.

Her backstory reveals that Amélie was once married to Gérard Lacroix, an Overwatch agent targeting the Talon organization. Talon brainwashed her and conditioned her into a sleeper agent, eventually turning her against her husband and transforming her into the emotionless killer she is today.
